There are certain things on your organisation's website that really shouldn't change - and if they do, you might be in quite a bit of trouble.
Terms and Conditions pages, for example, contact addresses and numbers or legal disclaimers could be changed maliciously or by mistake, without anyone spotting the changes for some time.
Improvements to the Sitemorse software mean users can now be alerted if changes have been made to a page. Alerts will be triggered if there are changes between current and previously checked pages between a given time (for example 30 minutes).
The alerts will detail not only what has changed to both visible pages and elements but also the behind the page, non-visible elements that make the page work, a crucial safeguard.
The new innovation will help soothe the nerves of website managers, particularly those in AIM-listed companies, which have to make key company information available on their websites under Rule 26, which came into force in 2007. It's not just financial companies that need to make sure key content is always accurate, however.
Sitemorse will provide proof of page availability for crucial pages to ensure the website is working all the time and delivering the correct content.
